Hand knotted with the Turkish knot, 65,500 double knots per square meter, hand dyed with color fast dyes in 100% Ecuadorian artisanal sheep wool. This rug was designed by Belén Mena and is inspired by moths from the Ecuadorian rain forest. Belén explores moths as an inspiration, using their natural designs as the basis for a bi-dimensional analysis for compositional and chromatic possibilities.
